Re: Muamba
So Muamba returns the compliment? Or has Coyle made the greatest signing this club has ever known? Its a pretty remarkable thing if he has.BWFC_Insane wrote:Very true, when Holden plays, his ability covers up all Muamba's shortcomings!Lord Kangana wrote:I think his partner in midfield really defines who Muamba is and how he approaches a game. he comes across as shy. Sorry, Muamba is a good but limited player. We have one other high quality central midfielder at the club, who is out injured. Of course he's going to look out of sorts, playing with makeshifts and dross like Cohen.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.

Aye which explains why he was taken off at half time yesterday and we looked better without him!Lord Kangana wrote:So Muamba returns the compliment? Muamba has regressed over the last 2 years. He's stopped even being effective breaking up the play and winning the ball.
Re: Muamba
which maybe points to him carrying an injury, he certainly did not seem to cover the ground like he is able to
Re: Muamba
More likely that he's fcuked
He's been used and abused
Maybe its no coincidence all 3 of our CM's are shagged

Mark Davies is injury prone though, he's only started about 10 games for us. Either that or he does drink/eat too much.

Re: Muamba
Definitely looked like he was limping as he chased the first Sunderland goalscorer into the big hole Zat Knight had left

Re: Muamba
I still see potential in him and there's no doubting that he and Holden, when playing together, are a successful midfield duo. Holden helps Muamba and Muamba does the basics when with Holden.

Re: Muamba
Muamba is good when used as he should be, breaking down play in front of our back 4, he's neither creative or a forward thinking mid fielder, thats why he plays better when Holden is in the team. Let him win the ball and give a simple pass, thats what hes good at. I Think the goal he scored against Wigan last season went to his head and gave him illusions about his own ability.

(Apart from last line - no sign of arrogance from the player, imo)
Re: Muamba
Not sure he'd be quite that good, complete and utter lack of technical ability would be a minor hindrance, but arrogance is absolutely the least of his problems. He doesn't realise how good he is at what he does.

Re: Muamba
He was excellent when paired with Holden... doing the job he was made for - breaking up the opposition, protecting the back four and making a five yard pass to the energetic player making himself available...BwfcDan wrote:He's been bloody awful this season! He needs a kick up the arse!!
