Re: New Home and Away Shirts?
It's the last shirt I bought too.
Re: New Home and Away Shirts?
I've never understood why people have a problem with 'grown men' wearing their team's football shirt to a match. It's just another way of supporting your team. You're going to be wearing some sort of shirt, so why not a football shirt? You might as well criticise someone for wearing a team bobble hat or a scarf to a game. It just sounds like snobbery to me.arconwhite wrote:I can't understand why grown men bother buying them as they generally look shit, cheap and are a guaranteed turn off to the opposite sex.

Yup. I wear mine with pride on match days. Whether I'm going to the game or (more often than) not. F*ck what anyone else thinks.

Exactly! I guess i could understand your point if someone over the age of 18 wore a football shirt say to a restaurant, on a night out or such like, but theres nowt wrong with wearing it to a game, or just general wear around town, tesco etc. Also about the whole shirt being 'guranteed turn off to the opposite sex', well whatever helps you sleep at nightBL3 wrote:I've never understood why people have a problem with 'grown men' wearing their team's football shirt to a match. Re: New Home and Away Shirts?
I agree. Football shirts are just leisure wear. Presumably the sort of people who object to others wearing them to matches, actually own some sort of leisure wear? Or do they do the gardening/wash the car/go to the gym, in their best suit and tie?wanderers_on_tour wrote:theres nowt wrong with wearing it to a game, or just general wear around town, tesco etc.

Pretentious pillock.arconwhite wrote:In all seriousness I don't know what all the fuss is about. It looks hideous but its a football shirt at the end of the day.

Grown men should show their colours on a matchday by wearing of the magnificent retro scarfs that were generously handed out in Lisbon.
I stopped buying replica shirts when the contents of my wardrobe became more Ralph Lauren than Reebok.
Still looks fecking awful though.

Re: New Home and Away Shirts?
i kindda agree with acorn. i have no problem with blokes wearing their shirt for the match, thats great. (although i wouldnt do myself) or to play footy in. but theres no place for them on grown men in supermarkets or down the shops or pubs when theres no game on... & i despise seeing them in airports! (unless they're on their way to a european away game of course)
incidentally, i was listening to the dmb v shalke game in the car the other week when i called in prestwich tesco. i saw 2 (separate) adult males doing their shopping in bright red utd shirts, one of them had his lad with him also in a utd shirt!! wtf is all that about!?
they both received my best icy glare! that showed em!

I don't do gardening or wash the car. I have staff that do that for me.

Has it been 12 months since everyone put similar views forwards. Please try and say something original and new, instead of the same re-canted crap.
Oh it's shit btw.

The material shows through the colour from the back of the shirt.officer_dibble wrote:it looks weird? or is it just my pc screen that makes the white fade at the bottom?
