Can't see many of the residents around that area wanting to sell up and that would have also have cost a lot of capital.

Or is that also a load of baloney?
Pfffft.

I think the argument is that they could have been higher with a more central location. I see the merit of the argument, but then you could equally argue that the Reebok has attracted a larger crowd from the West of Bolton and perhaps parts of Wigan, Chorley etc etc.

Its completely unprovable.

Traffic is a bitch though.
It is till you get on the motorway then its a breeze.

I can't imagine 20 thousand plus crowds in the centre of Bolton being any better in regards to traffic!

To be honest, despite the shenanigans with regards to directors not opening it to bidders, I think it was the easiest option for them to move it to Horwich. Burnden wasn't a big enough area to fit something the size of the Reebok on (with all the added infrastructure), and I know Caps mentioned the Greyhound track, but I don't think that was either.

I just wish they'd build another exit either further up Chorley New Road (where GM Waste used to be) or a direct slip road on to the motorway. The former is more achievable. Simply because, and I believe I've mentioned this before, the traffic is a bastard.

Why would I want to go on the motorway?

Its not the shortest thats for sure. But once you're on the motorway you're clear of the traffic. Rather than sitting in a queue for longer!

I got that pissed off with the traffic I've started using the bus service, for £1.50 return its great, but usually the missus drops me and the old man off, and we get the bus back for a quid

When they are ready to leave the coppers stop the traffic and the buses sail through

Aye the buses are great.. Which is one of the reasons why I'm baffled that people moan about the accessibility of the ground

Cos theres one, at a time decided by the bus

And my bus gets me home over an hour after the final whistle

The car takes 45 minutes from said whistle

And when you're on the bus, you're sat with bus wankers

And Mannerheim, what the bollocks are you doing using the motorway

Get parked off Chorley New, nearer to Horwich than The Beehive..up to Chorley Old and its game on
