But would they still be cheapish if we have just been given a load of cash for Cahill?thebish wrote: I agree entirely. I'd MUCH rather have the cash and Coyle's freedom to find an up and coming cheapish option to replace Cahill than have to accept a player that might not quite fit and have to adapt the team around him....

You better fill up, sounding like you'll be going down to London now. Make sure you don't pick up any of their defence on your way back up.Lofthouse Lower wrote:Look lads, I've had this car started for three weeks now, the petrol is running low and I've only got three polo mints left. There is indeed a danger that the £17m cheque handed over like a lottery win will raise prices elsewhere. It would be better to do a player-plus-undisclosed-cash so others don't know how much we've got in the back pocket.

Are Arsenal not a PLC? In which case, they'd have to divulge the feeDave Sutton's barnet wrote:Oh you'll be reet, they scatter at the first sign of stranger-danger.LiOC wrote:You better fill up, sounding like you'll be going down to London now. Good reposte.. I'm not actually sure. A Limited company doesn't have to show accounts until the end of the financial year I don't think..Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:Good question. Edit:
This is from the BBc with regards to Carl Jenkinson, who Arsenal have just bought from Charlton.
Jenkinson, whose transfer fee has not been disclosed by either club, is the Gunners' first summer acquisition following their sixth successive season without a trophy
