I suspect that Nolan's position in Newcastle's starting eleven is under threat with the likes of Ben Afra coming through and therefore may lose his captaincy.

Nolan likes being the big fish so I wouldn't be suprised if he was given the captain's position by Sam.

Deal is rumoured at 3 years at 50,000 pw with an option for a fourth - which is as good as it will get at 29.
