I doubt very much that view is shared by the ones they go against. What's the point of getting things wrong? We have the technology, why not use it?

Torn on this one. I still uphold that the Umpire's decision is final (as I suspect you did in your time Tango).

Over time, you get some good ones and some bad ones. Some change games, some don't.

I don't believe the games are any better with the introduction of technology, although I'm not against it as far as it's currently been implemented, I wouldn't miss it if it wasn't there either.

Would you prefer a game where you knew every single decision was 100% correct? I think I'd prefer a flawed game that provoked debate than a sterile one in which you sit passively.

I did indeed, and technology was never in the equation, but even us old-timers have to admit the goalposts have moved and that technology is a reality that's ever moving on. Like you, I sometimes wish it hadn't in sport and the umpires are pretty good and always fair. I think my objection is more that individual bodies can choose to make their own rules.( and with that KP gets away with one).

Not sure the rules change. The only thing that changes is whether to use a particular technology for a particular series. I agree that if it's being used then there should be an ICC decision to use it universally.

One of my heroes as a kid. Great fielder. I can recall tracking him down in the car park at OT and asking him politely for his autograph.

His response?

"Fcuk off kid."

I played against him at Trent Bridge some considerable while later in a sponsorship game. Nearly got the bastard first ball with a beamer.
