Apparently Daily Mail going big on the story, their backpage. Story from Dom King, former Liverpool Echo writer, whether that means he has his ear any closer to the wall I've no idea, but I certainly hope someone comes in and bids for him.

Liverpool might be ideal if they throw N'Gog into the deal, saves us having to fork out money for a striker. Wouldn't mind getting Danny Wilson in on the act too, on loan.

It's gotten to the stage now where each new Gary Cahill rumour is just 'mehhhh'...but if there's any substance in it then i hope it gets done quickly.

Liverpool spent a lot early on, which could mean they have a bottomless pit or they burned through a budget. I get the feeling it's more of the latter, although if they're being poop in pre-season they might persuade John W Henry's Fenway Sports Group to sub them some money.

They certainly do need a centre-half, preferably a ball-player, and I've said for a while that Cahill fits the bill. And although (part-)swaps are, as many have said, much harder to complete over here, it probably helps that they have a property (Ngog) that we'd want. As a side issue they have a few youngsters Dalglish blooded last season who might be further from the first team after the influx, so it's not far-fetched to imagine they might be the latest to send a sapling to the Coyle Finishing School.

Onuoha would be a possibility - more so than a month ago when he apparently turned us down, 'cos since then he's been ignored by Mancini, left out of the club's trips to the USA and Dublin – and we're certainly a better prospect for him than QPR. However, a bent-nosed problem looms in the north-east: backed by money from Darren Bent's departure, Jordan Henderson's overvaluation and Ellis Short's back pocket – and hankering for more signings after an early-summer splurge on Wes Brown, John O'Shea, Seb Larsson, Conor Wickham, Craig Gardner, David Vaughan and Keiren Westwood – Steve Bruce has been on SSN parping on about watching the City situation (the Cituation?) and having designs on SWP and Onouha, the defender having had a reasonably successful loan there last season.

I'm not convinced he's a 20M player either, but I'd say he's worth 10M of anyone's money when you consider how much teams at the top have paid for absolute shite.

It took the BBC radio around 2 or 3 days to report the Chungy injury, they've jumped on this Coyle denial straight away because it's connected to Liverpool and he uses sexy language: "irresponsible journalism".
