Carew Castle was home to Princess Nest (good welsh name - My Missus has a great aunt called Nest!) - the Welsh equivalent of Helen of Troy - famed for her beauty..

she lived there with her hubby Gerald de Windsor - with whom she had 5 kids. One day her cousin, Owain ap Cadwgan, came to visit - and he was so struck by her phwooaaarrishness - that he borrowed (abducted) her (Nest allegedly didn't struggle too much) - and had a couple of kids with her - before returning her to Gerald.

not really sure i can see the attraction - she's the one on the right....

presumably your new telly has a pc socket in the back somewhere - just use a monitor cable from laptop to telly...

HDMI cable is best and easiest if your laptop and TV have the output/input slots.

Otherwise VGA or S video or RCA.

Well yiss, BUT. The laptop's here (Wireless jobbie), the TV's no more than eight feet in front of me, the internet remote jobby's upstairs in the third bedroom. I'm stumped!

You can connect your laptop wirelessly if you want - you will need some hardware to do it. Do a google search for wireless connection to tv.

You can also stream wirelessly from your laptop to tv through certain games consoles eg XBox. I don't have one of those but again there's lots of info on the net.

Or go to the computer shop and they'll hook you up with what you need.

err... I'm missing what you mean by "marry up" then - you want to use your telly as your laptop screen? if so - attach the laptop to the telly with a cable... just the same as you attach your pc tower to your pc screen with a cable...
