Re: Italian Restaurant in Bolton
There isn't an Italian restaurant anywhere in the world that can cook a meal that comes even close to a half decent curry.
Pasta and tomato sauce, my arse.

Yes - just a bit. And more than pizza also.BWFC_Insane wrote:Both serve a purpose.Wandering Willy wrote:There isn't an Italian restaurant anywhere in the world that can cook a meal that comes even close to a half decent curry.

But so few 'Italians' prove it...
Re: Italian Restaurant in Bolton
Anyone been in Leo's in Horwich? Think it's just under £12 for 3 courses, really good food too. If I'm not mistaken Casa Nostra in Westhoughton is owned by the same people.
Been to Portofinos and really liked it there too.
I love Italian food.

That's quite possibly the most short-sighted comment I've read since I read that Mr Magoo was struggling with his idiot boards!Wandering Willy wrote:There isn't an Italian restaurant anywhere in the world that can cook a meal that comes even close to a half decent curry.
Deary me.
What a tit, coming out with that.

You do realise 'Italian' doesn't mean cheesey garlic bread and a pepperoni pizza from a shop that specialises in keebabs, don't you?
Curry is good, but not a patch on proper Italian food.

My eyes have been well and truly opened here Pru. I know Domino's now does chicken wings as a "side", but what else is there?Prufrock wrote:Wandering Willy wrote:There isn't an Italian restaurant anywhere in the world that can cook a meal that comes even close to a half decent curry.

You can get this garlic bread with cheese AND tomato on! Some weird fecker's even like mushroom! Pepperoni AND bacon!
Seriously though, Italian food is a-ma-zing.
My own favourite 'meal' being:
Penne with chicken and chives in a gorgonzola, cream, and white wine sauce (soooo good).
Nice piece of lamb with a piece of pancetta and a sage leaf (stuck onto it with a toothpick while you cook it, pancetta side first to get all the saltiness).
Tiramasu for pud.
OMNOM.
