Re: Time to go
But we're not going to give him a bottomless pit, so faring poorly on one won't be an issue and therefore no precedent to follow.
We'd give him bugger all, like he had at Blackburn, which there is s precedent for.
Giving OC any amount of money, if he sets the team up like a clueless bugger won't help either.
Of the two I think Hughes would be more likely to have a clue than OC. Whether this team could play the "Hughes" style I very much doubt. I can't see Petrov and Eagles suddenly morphing into Chopper Harris.
Either way Hughes was just one suggestion. From most of the starting formations we've had this season, McLaren has more clue.

Is that from the accounts then or are you making it up? And how much did it cost to get rid of MEgson and his mongy mates? The wooden fella who had about 6 hours in charge of southampton was my favourite. Still he's Brian Clough compared to Sandy friggin Stewart it would seem.CAPSLOCK wrote:And, as he didn't point out, we spent more getting Coyle and his useless matesHarry Genshaw wrote:As LK pointed out, we spent 5hitloads in attracting the in-demand managerial thoroughbred that was Gary Megson.

Just wait 'til they get their way and Peter Reid arrives.

The compo for TeamCoyle was finally settled in the summerofficer_dibble wrote:Is that from the accounts then or are you making it up?CAPSLOCK wrote:And, as he didn't point out, we spent more getting Coyle and his useless mates
The amount was anything between nowt and 3 million quid depending on how the accounts value the transfer of the registrations of Eagles and Mears

Re: Time to go
So then, how many Coyle 'in'-ers have we got left now?
Re: Time to go
Was on the fence. Starting to fall towards the Coyle-out side.
But still.. who can we get who will improve us? That's what matters.

Megson P 98 W 27 D 26 L 45
Coyle P 84 W 29 D 15 L 40
Almost as many losses in less games, Much better win ratio, but why can we not grind out draws. It seems like we go out with a shit or bust attitude and when we go a goal down cannot change to a plan B to get back in the game.
Didn't think I would, but am drifting to the Must Go camp.

Miserable again.
Coyle needs to go, sorry but the only chance we have is a change!

Re: Time to go
Whilst there's no doubt we've had some woeful luck this season what with injuries, fixture lists, possibly arguable red cards (clutches at straws) its now got the point where I find it impossible to see how Coyle can turn it round.
He's tried different formations, different personnel. His main signing of the summer can't get a game in a poor team.
We've had 2 'turning the corner' victories where we haven't turned the corner. In both we scored early (and played poor teams also).
We just look so brittle and weak and soft and naive and clueless. And I can't see how thats going to change soon, after all we've been like this for months now.
