My point is if Coyle sells him because he'd rather get some money than nothing, but still thinks he could have an impact from the bench if he stayed, and that the money he would get wouldn't make any difference in improving the team, then he is a fool. If by selling Davies he thinks he can improve the team (or his worth is so little that he wouldn't worsen it at all) then I can see the logic. As he is still on the bench, and has appeared from it several times, it seems he at least values Davies being around. As such it would be daft to sell him, unless any money we could get would be the difference between signing a player who would improve us, and not.

With neither or us being Coyle, or course we cannot narrow it down to one possibility, but that is not to say all possibilities are equally likely. Coyle comments about valuing SKD, that he started against Macclesfield (and say, Tuncay, didn't) that he came on against Everton recently suggest he is seen to be having an appreciable contribution, and that certainly seems more likely to me than Coyle having decided over night that a player who has been a mainstay of his side is suddenly not even worthy of a place on the bench, or at the club, but he picks him anyway because he is scared.
