What are you eating and drinking tonight?

If you have a life outside of BWFC, then this is the place to tell us all about your toilet habits, and those bizarre fetishes.......

Just been informed we're off there tomorrow.
And very bloody good it was too!

Had a very, very good take away curry for two tonight:

Chicken Jalfrezi
Chicken Tikka Masala
Vegetable Curry
Pilau Rice
Naan Bread.

All for £6.50.

The surprising bit - in a bag from Tesco.

Tesco you say? I got one from Asda once which was shite to the power of 6 (at least) so I've never bothered with any of them since. Was there plenty?

There was plenty of food for one. In fact I had enough for another meal left over - just need another naan.

To be honest - it was as good as any take away I've had.

Give it a go. You can get individual curries/bread/starters etc and make your own meal if you want.

I do not work for Tesco.

This weekend was woman's 21st. Had such an amazing weekend. She had a great time, and she was absolutely spoiled by her family and friends. Why then, you ask, is this in the What are you eating and drinking tonight? thread?

Well, for her tea, on Saturday night, we went to the Michelin starred Butcher's Arms, just outside Gloucester. Oh my word. The best food I have ever even been in the same room as. I had Scallops and Pork Belly to start with. Was unsure before but jesus it was heaven. Main of Duck with Parsnip puree, some rhubarb stuff and potato gallette (a massive ready salted crisp), was amazing. Finished with Seville Orange Marmalade pudding with Drambuie custard. Oh my days.

Seriously, if you are ever even nearly in that neck of the woods, go, go, go.

And if you are wondering what I was doing down that way on Saturday, well it wasn't my fault!

Here is a pic of us pre-meal (for which I got in trouble, coz whilst she is looking at the camera, I MAY be watching ESPN ten yards behind and to the right of the camera. Oooops)

FAO Bijou Bob

Iced Raspberry Mousse (serves 4)

150gr raspberries (i defrosted some frozen ones we had saved from the many our garden produced in the summer, but fresh is probably better)
4 tbs Icing sugar
4 tbs greek style yoghurt
150ml double cream
25gr meringue

Mash raspberries in a bowl til squashed and stir in icing sugar well, followed by the yoghurt.

Pour cream into a bowl and whisk til thick

Add the yoghurt mix to the cream and turn the mix over with a spoon, carry on til all the mix is pink.

Break the meringue into small pieces and stir in

Spoon mixture into ramekins and pop into freezer before frozen

Ahh, meringue. I wondered what the floaty bits were.

Oh, and you'll need to think on that you're dealing with northern blokes here - we don't do ramekins - replace with "Ladle into bloody big bowls" ;)
