Anyone heard of Roots Manuva? I was arguing with someone last night that he's good (what I've heard), but the first album is the only non-cheesy one. Stuff like Witness the fitness and Dreamy Days (2nd album) may well be good but it's very cheesy in my opinion, especially compared to the 1st album which is good and non-cheesy.

Don't have any of the solo albums but last year's Roots Manuva collaboration with Wrongtom still sounds good to me.

Balloon Astronomy album called, amazingly, Balloon Astronomy.

Now, I'd fully sympathise is it's not for you, but if you were/are a Genesis, Tull type stuff & you've missed it over the years .... here it is.

Give it a listen if you are of that type.

I might just at that. Not a great Genesis fan (duke is the only album in my collection) but I do like a bit of Tull.

Listened to Bandstand by Family earlier. About 1972, with the magnificent Burlesque as the best known track.

Then gave 'You Are Not Alone' by Mavis Staples a listen. Most excellent.
