Re: Muamba Tribute Saturday
I just think there would no greater tribute than to turn up, sing, do what you want to do on the day, make a banner , maybe the club could make it a family day where your kids go free or something....we're a family club, he's a family man, lets make it a family day in his honour and just let our love for him & the club be apparent from the supporters' own emotions.

anyone fancy setting up a paypal account to collect funds should we need to donate to a fund quickly? I suggest its managed by two or three off here to ensure transparency

I think it will.jmjhb wrote:If the game doesn't sell out, then we are a disgrace.
People will be cautious of buying tickets for a few days though while it's uncertain whether the match would be played.
Think I agree re: tribute actually. More appropriate for us to not organise a big thing whilst the situation could change at any time.

Re: Muamba Tribute Saturday
I don't think anybody should be setting up paypal accounts at this stage or worrying about attendance or what we're going to do.
Next few hours and days are crucial for a young man fighting against the odds for his life. I'm 100% convinced that when the time is right, under whatever circumstances that Bolton fans will to a man, respond in the right way and do the right thing.
We do not yet know when we will get the chance, or what circumstances that will be under.
The club will sort anything that needs sorting and the fans will play their own part when the time comes.
Leave it at that.

Here's hoping it's a celebration of his recovery, and he can be there to see it himself.

We're as one in our support for Fabrice, no question about it but we can discuss our options should we need to do so. With respect, if Real Madrid can demonstrate their support in the way they did surely we can plan to do something at the club he represented week in week out and that can't happen unless we talk about it in a forum like this. If you choose to be part of that discussion or not then that's your choice.BWFC_Insane wrote:I don't think anybody should be setting up paypal accounts at this stage or worrying about attendance or what we're going to do.

Yeah I get that, but equally jumping the gun is not a good idea in these circumstances.Salford Trotter wrote:We're as one in our support for Fabrice, no question about it but we can discuss our options should we need to do so. Either way, just hope whatever it is, is a celebration rather than the other unthinkable alternative!

Re: Muamba Tribute Saturday
i really dont think we should be worrying about attendances as an issue...what would be a 'disgrace' is to assume that people somehow dont care about the young man's life if they don't or can't change all existing plans to attend the match and wear a t-shirt or hold a banner. Those who will be there will represent in person the thoughts and feelings of everyone who cares, thats all that matters.

Well, yes, and not only that but I am baffled by the premise of the statement.jmjhb wrote:Disagree?mummywhycantieatcrayons wrote:jmjhb wrote:If the game doesn't sell out, then we are a disgrace.

I will do my utmost to be there if its one, if I can get my daughter a lift to and from work then nothing will stop me.
My dog (proper 57) had his anal glands emptied once and yes the smell is something to behold!!
Re: Muamba Tribute Saturday
I'm slightly wary of anything that makes it sounds like we're competing with other clubs, or need to show that we care the most. We have nothing to prove to anyone.
Turn up, sing his name, and win, lose or draw get behind the players who'll be trying their best in unbelievably difficult circumstances.

What a hero, What a man...... Ooooh, what a bad foul...
Re: Muamba Tribute Saturday
The guy I emailed said they will be able to do a tribute for Saturday but I will email to say we have had a change of heart due to the situation but we will keep them in mind if we decide to do it at a later date. Is that the consensus?

Re: Muamba Tribute Saturday
listen theres not much i can do from here (plymouth) i would love to attend but can't due to various reasons
so all i can do is keep my fingers crossed and if we decide to do something i will be more than happy to donate
just an idea what if we chuck in for a shirt(s) and someone buy it and sign it(with messages) on behalf of the people who put some cash in obviously it would have to be someone from around the bolton area so they can drop it off at the reebok
just an idea
