Get within 400 yards and he'll fall over and roll around on the deck for 10 minutes.

Seeing your name as the most recent contributer on this thread Worthy, I thought you must have gone for a run! But no! Was mowing the lawn too much for you today?!Worthy4England wrote:Piece o pi$$.thebish wrote:I just saw freddie Ljungberg running half naked past the Common... if you run fast you might catch him - I think he was doing a charity 5K circuit... I don't think what you have can really be described as a "lawn"Gooner Girl wrote:Seeing your name as the most recent contributer on this thread Worthy, I thought you must have gone for a run! But no! Cheek! I'm sitting on our back lawn now sharing a packet of crisps and a fried egg sandwich with the dog. Might not be as big as your posh garden but it's still green grass!thebish wrote:I don't think what you have can really be described as a "lawn"Gooner Girl wrote:Seeing your name as the most recent contributer on this thread Worthy, I thought you must have gone for a run! Blimey. I one walked 18 miles over Holcombe Hills and couldn't move for a day afterwardsHarry Genshaw wrote:Just got back from an 18 mile run over Holcombe Moor in an event organised by the LDWA. I dont know if it was the heat (it is still March isn't it?)

Talking of the heat, on yesterday's Parkrun my slip of paper with my barcode on it basically dissolved in my shorts pocket. Nice!

The Mall still seems a long way away- Oh you've no worries G. Not sure on the pace, but completed it in 2hr 58 - 5 minutes slower than last year. My mate who I was running it with, is doing the three peaks race the week after I do London & he just looked so much fitter than I did. Starting to wonder whether I've done enough training.
Well, the route we're doing is relatively flat (for Bolton). I'm anticipating doing the Marathon at about 8:45 pace which should bring me home in about 3hrs 50. I intend doing our run at a similair pace so we should be about right with what you did on Saturday (maybe a little faster).

Re: The athletics/running thread
Sounds bob on to me Gary. That's pretty much what I'm hoping for at London. I'm doing a 20 miler next weekend & then tapering, so I'll just do 14 or 15 with you. Will 17+ not be a bit too much just 2 weeks before?

Re: The athletics/running thread
It'll be my longest run. I figure I should be fresh enough not having done as much as everyone else. Plus I plan on doing a SERIOUS taper, like minimal mileage for 2 weeks.Harry Genshaw wrote:Sounds bob on to me Gary. That's pretty much what I'm hoping for at London.
