if you could have kept one player from last season that we lost at the expense of loosing a member of our squad for next season who would it be
(side note: the 2 players must play in the same position for example loose zat knight regain gary cahill)

If not, Kevin Davies for Trevor Morgan. Or Steve Elliot. Or Wayne Entwistle. Or a sack of potatoes.

because coyle managed to achieve something near impossible that megson couldnt - relegate us, i honestly belive the season he lost his job ( i saw him just minuites after he was sacked outside the reebok with all his stuff in his arms waiking to his car) he would have just kept us up but only just mindTKIZ! wrote:Really? Re: 1 for 1 debate
I don't think he would have done, but that's by the by. He would probably have taken us down the season after though. In contrast, Coyle kept us up comfortably that first season, and then we spent the first 3/4s of last season dancing in the top half. Megson would have never gotten us there. Whether Megson would have kept us up last season is debatable, but I happen to think he wouldn't have done.bwfcdan94 wrote:because coyle managed to achieve something near impossible that megson couldnt - relegate us, i honestly belive the season he lost his job ( i saw him just minuites after he was sacked outside the reebok with all his stuff in his arms waiking to his car) he would have just kept us up but only just mindTKIZ! wrote:Really? i think he would as alot of the players we have are his rather than coyles, look at coyles signings you all go on about robbie blake being a waste of space and eagles being s**t, then there is ngog and everybodies favourite baldie darren pratley. if coyle had of signed just one very good player instead of those four we would have stayed up simples. :negative: better than http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2009/10/ ... 34x437.jpgtruewhite15 wrote:I don't think he would have done, but that's by the by. Re: 1 for 1 debate
Pratley's shite, I'll grant you. Eagles is actually useful. And, as has been pointed out numerous times, there's a difference between signing players and getting them to play. We might have been shit last season, fair enough. But we were shit ALL THE TIME under Megson. When Coyle gets the team to play, they play a damn sight better than they ever could under Megson. If signing players was all there was to it, we'd have a scout as a manager.
Oh, and your point about signing one "very good" player instead of the 4 you mention. Bullshit. If he had done that, we'd have been fecked a long time before the last day of the season, because our squad would have been nowhere near sufficient to carry us through.

no i am pressuming that these are the tones giving off by this forum, IMO eagles is one of our best players, pratley is great as well as is the case with ngog but blake well he is below par at besttruewhite15 wrote:Pratley's shite, I'll grant you. So you're using them as a stick with which to beat Coyle in your support of Megson, in terms of transfers, saying that if we'd signed one great player instead of them, we'd have stayed up, and you imply that Megson would have signed said player.bwfcdan94 wrote: i think he would as alot of the players we have are his rather than coyles, look at coyles signings you all go on about robbie blake being a waste of space and eagles being s**t, then there is ngog and everybodies favourite baldie darren pratley. if coyle had of signed just one very good player instead of those four we would have stayed up simples
But then you say that three of the players you mentioned are the best players at the club. You've been definitively found out as a bullshit merchant, my son.

yes megson signed this now champ league winner from sheffield called gary cahillSo you're using them as a stick with which to beat Coyle in your support of Megson, in terms of transfers, saying that if we'd signed one great player instead of them, we'd have stayed up, and you imply that Megson would have signed said player.bwfcdan94 wrote: i think he would as alot of the players we have are his rather than coyles, look at coyles signings you all go on about robbie blake being a waste of space and eagles being s**t, then there is ngog and everybodies favourite baldie darren pratley. if coyle had of signed just one very good player instead of those four we would have stayed up simples
