i hope he's not here long enough for it , but, ive got a feeling that we'll be begging for him to debut Afobe too , and he will ,eventually, in the middle of november. we wont win or he wont score , so he'll knock it on the head and default to losing his way.

Best I can get. Of course, he might have been suggesting that the yokels are a bunch of paupers in which case all is forgiven.

To quote Shebby Singh - he's got 3 games - lose them and he's lost Bolton fans forever.
Embarrassing, amateur, lazy, don't give a feck is how I'd some up that performance.
As for Tim Ream - he's like a fecking fairy - get stuck in you fecking gay-boy, he's a fecking centre back ffs
I'm a wanker - even my 3yr old doesn't listen to owt I say.
While I'm here tho - has anyone ever known such a powder-puff Bowton side? With the exception of Knight (who played like he'd suddenly realised he's a giant), we were getting the same treatment that we used to dish out weekly.
The yank's missus can't have been fecked since the wedding night, Mark £8m Davies would have got out-muscled by that 3ft Olympic gymnast, Mears should concentrate on football instead of that stuuuupid poncey haircut, Ricketts should remember that he came from'tlower leagues and those international caps mean feck all coz he played for fecking Wales.
As Robert Smith said - boys don't cry, but they will be staying up supping all neet and watching tube sites when she goes't bed.
Troll and proud of it.
Re: Burnley vs Bolton
my opinion is that having KD on is one reason why we do just that... and I also think KD has ceased to be effective in a starting role... he is badly off the pace. He isn't THE ONLY reason we lose - the problem is deeper than that - but he ain't a reason anything will turn around either...TANGODANCER wrote:What I think is immaterial, voice your own thoughts. I'd rather have had either of Arjen Roben, Van Persie or Didier Drogba to receive wallop balls than KD today - wouldn't you??

"Well surely fans thinking the players will 'win the league by hundreds on points' is a sign of confidence, no matter how delirious?"
More than anything else this pissed me off! As soon as the Euro's had finsihed I started to read statements similar to this on many of the forums.
I simply could not see the quality, fight, team spirit or management attributes many where taking for granted. How could they come to this conclusion given the spankings given by Norwich and Swansea last season? Our team looked inferior in most games to the opposition last year.

Re: Burnley vs Bolton
You're right there. Found myself shouting "get up Eagles you soft sheite" when he was brought down by the weight of his own ego trying to get a free kick in the second half (and then lied down for a bit instead of getting off his arse and chasing back despite having only just come on) and both Chungy and Sordell were told to get up and get on with it by the referee when they went down clutching a twisted sock after a fair challenge. Next time it pisses down, stick 'em on Rivi Pike at midnight and tell 'em the last one back is banned from the darts tournament.as wrote:While I'm here tho - has anyone ever known such a powder-puff Bowton side? Coyle has built a team that is soft. He's like a bad version of Colin Todd and that's scary.
Despite that with just a little structure we'd easily have had too much for Burnley,

Megson played a team of too many defensive players and here we have the complete opposite. My heart sank when I heard we were lining up 4-4-2 with Lee, Petrov and Davies as 3 of the midfield four. That line up is going to have to score 3 and 4 to win away games.Lightweight as f..k.
I can't decide whether McCann on the right wing against Sunderland on the opening day or this shambles was the worst.Whatever Coyle is going to be out of work if he doesn't learn quickly.

the sunderland game only seemed worse coz it were when the bedsheet fcuk-heads lost patience after about six months even though we stopped up.Martin_Cruise wrote:Megson played a team of too many defensive players and here we have the complete opposite. My heart sank when I heard we were lining up 4-4-2 with Lee, Petrov and Davies as 3 of the midfield four. That line up is going to have to score 3 and 4 to win away games.Lightweight as f..k.

It'll be in the New Year some time.Coyle won't last that long if he goes away from home playing 4-4-2 with 3 fairies in his midfielda1 wrote:the sunderland game only seemed worse coz it were when the bedsheet fcuk-heads lost patience after about six months even though we stopped up.Martin_Cruise wrote:Megson played a team of too many defensive players and here we have the complete opposite. My heart sank when I heard we were lining up 4-4-2 with Lee, Petrov and Davies as 3 of the midfield four. That line up is going to have to score 3 and 4 to win away games.Lightweight as f..k.

23rd of February is Hull at home.
Coyle either needs to turn this around sharpish, or feck off come mid-September. The Watford game on the 15th is the target, for me. We play Derby, Forest, Watford at home and Hull away. Being completely realistic here, if we don't have 8 points at least from those four, it'll be clear that we're in no shape to be promoted. Thus, Coyle will have failed in his seasonal objective for the second year running, and he NEEDS to be out of the door.

Re: Burnley vs Bolton
Are you quite deliberately missing the point here? I never mentioned Davies particualrly and already said it's the system that's wrong. Cannon-ball goal kicks and balls banged randomly and much of the time with not much accuracy into the opposition half, hopefully to one man wandering about on his own, just will not work. How many decent teams do it? Did Bogdan throw the ball to a Bolton player once today? If he did I must have missed it. We need football, not hoof ball. The last bit is just too soft a question to answer.thebish wrote:my opinion is that having KD on is one reason why we do just that... and I also think KD has ceased to be effective in a starting role... he is badly off the pace. Just to have a little respect for history - Colin Todd, in this division, managed the team that broke pretty much every record for good performance in the entire history of Bolton Wanderers... In what sense was that team 'soft'?BWFC_Insane wrote:Coyle has built a team that is soft. He's like a bad version of Colin Todd and that's scary.

He did, but he never has us organised and we always had a soft underbelly. Look at the season after he'd taken us down second time around. Remind you of how we looked today? Did me. Soft. Despite having superior players.William the White wrote:Just to have a little respect for history - Colin Todd, in this division, managed the team that broke pretty much every record for good performance in the entire history of Bolton Wanderers... Anyways, I did say a 'bad version'.
Re: Burnley vs Bolton
colin todd nearly bankrupted us. and didnt keep us up either time. then fecked up with a horrible end to a season to not take us back up the third time.William the White wrote:

I'm just interested given your backing for him during the pre-season against what you called the other "fancy-dan" strikers, whether you still thought he should start...TANGODANCER wrote: Are you quite deliberately missing the point here? it's not that controversial a question is it?
anyway - didn't we play TWO up front today?
(the last bit came from you saying those 3 players would not have made any difference.)

To be fair, I remember coming back from Vale Park after we drew 1-1 with Port Vale on the opening day of that season with similar feelings as today, despite it only being a draw.William the White wrote:Just to have a little respect for history - Colin Todd, in this division, managed the team that broke pretty much every record for good performance in the entire history of Bolton Wanderers... We also conceded 5 away to Southend a few games later IIRC. Although we did beat Man City. How times have changed.
