Wasn't he on the interview panel, or something like that.
"Young people, nowadays, imagine money is everything."
"Yes, and when they grow older they know it."

If a panel can be made up of one person, yes.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

I'm sure I heard Souness say on the radio recently (Danny Baker's show I think) that he couldn't be persuaded to return to football management so I reckon we can all rest easy.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:Still, after all these years, the manager I would least want is Graeme Souness.

Re: Anyone but him!
Ok I was limiting my options. I've reviewed what I think. The following are all tossers and if appointed as Bolton manager would seriously impede my relationship viz a viz football:
Gary Fxcking Neville
Grim Souness
Turnip Hoddle
Paulo DickeadAnio
If any of those are appointed I will not only have a mental breakdown and lose the will to live, but would seriously consider never going to another football match ever ever ever again.

I'm just joking with you, it was after reading that pretty much anyone we were linked with we didn't want.Prufrock wrote:Really? You had the options of Roy Keane, Billy Davies and Gary Megson (who is th obvious winner, assuming Coyle is discounted) and you picked him? Not in favour, fine, but LEAST favourite. ...and researching him further has only strengthened that opinion.Dave Sutton's barnet, last Friday, wrote:Still, after all these years, the manager I would least want is Graeme Souness.
Some might point out he got Blackburn promoted, but they had a very talented squad. In fact, over to Rovers: this is an interesting thread, with some saying he brought the good times but others pointing out his screamingly obvious flaws - including some interesting allegations...

Re: Anyone but him!
Theres also plenty on there defending him, and his record. If we're going down the route of worrying about the shadier side of football, we support a club surrounded by the stench of dodgy dealing, going right back through Allardyce - our most successful manager in the modern era.
By all means argue his footballing deficiencies, and lord he's got them in spades like the other usual suspects, but you're kind of throwing the first stone here.

OK. The bloke's a serial-failure c*nt who alienates players everywhere he goes and has been known to assault them over a petty argument.Lord Kangana wrote:Theres also plenty on there defending him, and his record. Ad Bryan Robson, David O'Leary and Steve Bruce and I think we have an accord.
NB It is always preferable to refer to "The Ginger Tw*t" as "That f*cking Ginger Tw*t" so as to avoid any possible confusion in the future.

Whatever did happen to Dayvid Ow Leery?
Re: Anyone but him!
Went to the middle east, where apparently quite a few forgotten managers end up. John Gregory has my favorite record...
