We're relying on this shitrag for our info now, right?

I'm not sure "being given a shot at it" is entirely the professional approach.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Does jimmy even want it? He talked about "helping out" last night. I certainly wouldnt give it Lee after last time.

Wouldnt surprise me if we waitedfor Solskjaer.

Heres one for LK, is Nixon the new Mark Curtis?

If we get him we should be able to sign Zaha and he can keep Sordell company on the bench

I'm liking the sound of this. If steady and organised sounds boring in interviews then thats sound by me. The way his team plays doesnt imply he is a poor motivator. He's more likely to fit in and move forward with what we already have and if he brings lennie Lawrence along as a mentor all well and good.

There is an arguement that Phillips should have a chance if he wants it but that's not something that should be commited to quickly and as someone said earlier he may not want it. The first real test for Phillips is on tuesday and the question is will he have the nouse to pick a different team for very different circumstances. With the sort of players we have and the size of the squad it would eeven make sense to play two different teams /systems according to strength of oposition and home/away.

The team we played yesterday would not be able to cope against a team with a strong midfield. Mavis doing well against a weak midfield when we boss possession does not mean he will suddenly be able to do the job against decent players.Surely the evidence of the last 18 months tells us that.

Why would he leave Palace for us?? And don't say that because we are a "big" club and Palace aren't.

Can't see any footballing reasons!! They are sitting fourth in the Championsip and playing better football than us, it just doesnt make any footballing sense. Mind we may pay him a bigger salary and money often talks!!

Acually don't now anything about him, have never heard him speak or even seen a photo of him, not sure that he's ever been to Oz (but then that's irrelevant I guess). So I have no idea if he is a good choice or not.
Depression is just a state of mind, supporting Bolton is also a state of mind hence supporting Bolton must be depressing QED

Well certainly if Mavis is playing then in the middle/behind a striker and not as part of a pair. It's not that he doesnt try to do the defensive side of the game. He just isnt very good at it.

For Freedman it may be a question of which club are more able to put resources behind him should he get them up. Palace have struggled financially and may not be able to back him with money when they're close to getting up or when they have got up.Also in terms of what is already available there is probably better depth and quality in the squad he would be taking on here.
If he wants to spend at palace it seems likely that he would have to sell Zaha.
From a career point of view he would be looking not just at which team he is likely to get up but which offers him the best chance of staying up because ultimately to develop his career that is what he would need to do.
