The team Coyle built isn't a bad one, as Freedman has mentioned many times. The selection today is absurd and can't be pinned on Coyle.

But it is. That's the trouble.

If they were good enough we would get results.

That's too simplistic, I think. We have good players but that isn't the only thing you need to create a good team. The ability of players like Mark Davies, Eagles, Petrov, Ricketts, Chungy etc., is amongst the best in the league. We have Bogdan, Ream, Ricketts, Chungy and Petrov who are all international regulars, for f*cks sake. They aren't bad players.

The problem is a lack of confidence, poor tactics and poor selection. We have Spearing on the bench and play Ream instead, despite Spearing being one of our best players and Ream being a defender. That makes no sense at all, not to mention picking the abysmal Afobe over Chungy.
