Andrews is rattling them in, why change it?

Did anybody see N'gog's freekick in the second half yesterday.

That's why he doesn't take penalties. He can't strike the ball cleanly.

As for penalties, best penalty taker should take them. Plenty of top strikers haven't been great at penalties.

Andrews fair thumps them in.

Why we would change that I honestly don't know.

Don't try to fix what ain't broke.

I don't think anyone is seriously suggesting we change - rather, asking WHY there are strikers who can't take penalties!! I think it's an interesting question..

how is it that a striker hasn't the confidence/ability to beat a goalie at that range when the goalie has to stay on his line and it is 1-on-1...

apart from a tap-in to an empty net - how is that not a relatively easy position for a striker (someone whose job it is to score goals - who practices all week - and is paid because he has shown a talent for scoring goals) to be in? surely in that position - a striker SHOULD be confident?

Petrov. It's Petrov we need on there.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Liverpool must have had some shit forwards and the midfield couldn't have been up to much in the late 70s early 80's when they had a defender taking them!

I've seen nothing to suggest any of the team aren't confident about taking penalties.

I've seen that Andrews looks comfortable doing so, that's all

I think the penalty was the only time he touched the ball and it didn't go backwards.

Can I give you a tiny piece of advice

Ignore if you wish...

You're talking way too much sense, but they'll not listen, so don't bother

it can all depend upon what mood caps is in

if he is particularly abrasive today, then he probably means that the op (you) is a prick for raising such a ridiculous point about changing the penalty taker who is doing rather well and also categorising the people who have agreed with you

I could be wrong though, if I am caps, please feel free to correct me

Can I just point out that in the very first post on this subject I had this to say "Don't get me wrong, I'm glad he [Andrews] did [take the penalty], because at least he scored it."
The entire point of the post was one of debate as to why it is that strikers quite often do not take penalties, when IMHO it might (might - that's the point of the debate) be better for their goal scoring confidence if they did.
So, for all you out there that are not quite getting this:
I AM NOT ADVOCATING THAT ANDREWS STOP TAKING THE FECKIN PENALTIES. Ok. I WAS JUST WONDERING WHY SO FEW FECKIN STRIKERS HAVE THE CONFIDENCE TO TAKE THEM.
