3m and they are welcome. I think he is ok but doesn't contribute enough consistently.

£2m and a mars bar - I'd drive him down there myself.

Swap him for Vanessa Paradis

Contributes more than any other striker, and I'm not sure you'd find a better replacement for £3m.

I don't think Sam Ricketts and Zat Knight will be on huge wages simply because they re-signed after we went down so I would assume that their wages packets would reflect the fact that we are a championship club it's more people like CYL N'Gog who would be the problem.

We haven't reached that level of parity... yet. Girls can run the line but they're not allowed on the pitch... yet.

The guy Remy who is going to QPR (for 8 mil  ) has only scored 3 goals this season so Ngog would fit right in but I would rather keep him for the money we would get.. Nobody better at getting the ball down and holding it up IMO and that includes Davo.

Harry said he didn't want bankrupt QPR.. he isn't trying very hard is he  I bet that is the highest fee QPR have paid to date aswell as a shed load of wages and brown envelopes to convince him to not to go to Newcastle.

If it were allowed here I'd hazard a bet they are 2 of the highest paid in the division. Might be less than last season, but still comparatively high in the 2nd div.

it hardly takes any time - the forum has a search tool!

if you type in Ream and thebish - you will find that before we signed him I spent a good few weeks in terminal confusion over Ream and LeToux - and which one was as fast as shit-off-a-shovel! turns out it was Le Toux - and I kept confusing him for ream...

To those who don't 'get' finances in this league and say our 'runofthemillers' like Knight and Ricketts aren't on big money, Barnsleys wage bill last season was 6.2 million

anyway - back to (not)transfers..

Alonso is quite happy where he is and has no intention of buggering off!
The BN wrote:WHITES defender Marcos Alonso is fully focused on dumping Premier League opposition out of the FA Cup this month – rather than plying his trade there.

The young Spaniard is enjoying life back in the Wanderers first team after five successive outings and hopes to make it a happy half dozen with a cup replay win at Sunderland tonight to earn a crack at Everton in the fourth round.

And while there has been talk of a bid for him from the top-flight, with Swansea City boss Michael Laudrup reportedly casting admiring glances his way from South Wales, the 22-year-old only has eyes for cup glory and staying in the Wanderers side.

Alonso said: “I am really pleased as it is the first time I have played four games in a row. Everything is going all right and I am just trying to keep going.

“It has been hard with so many injuries. But football changes quickly and now I am really happy. I am working hard, as I have over the last three years, to stay in the team.

“Every player wants to play every game, especially when you are playing in the FA Cup, and against a Premier League side, and I think we can cause an upset.

“Football is always 11 v 11. In the game at the Reebok we were much better than them so we will play our game and see what happens.

“That is my main focus. I don’t read anything (about transfer speculation).

“My head is in Bolton and I just want to get back with Bolton to the Premier League.

“As for Swansea, I have not spoken to anyone and from the club, and they haven’t told me anything.”

Like other big clubs (jokey) it's hard to tell, is my understanding, as staff costs include all sorts of stuff

My gut feeling is ours are in the 15-30k a week range

... or about £120k pw in the World of Mathematics. If they have 25 men in the squad that'd average out at around £4,750 pw, pm.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

And this is whats annoying.

We have players earning 4 or 5 times what other clubs in this division pay their top earners.

Yet our lot let themselves be outbattled.

It'd make you mad if you thought about it too long.......
