I don't think Sam Ricketts and Zat Knight will be on huge wages simply because they re-signed after we went down so I would assume that their wages packets would reflect the fact that we are a championship club it's more people like CYL N'Gog who would be the problem.

The guy Remy who is going to QPR (for 8 mil ) has only scored 3 goals this season so Ngog would fit right in but I would rather keep him for the money we would get.. Nobody better at getting the ball down and holding it up IMO and that includes Davo.

Harry said he didn't want bankrupt QPR.. he isn't trying very hard is he I bet that is the highest fee QPR have paid to date aswell as a shed load of wages and brown envelopes to convince him to not to go to Newcastle.

If it were allowed here I'd hazard a bet they are 2 of the highest paid in the division. Might be less than last season, but still comparatively high in the 2nd div.

Alonso is quite happy where he is and has no intention of buggering off!

WHITES defender Marcos Alonso is fully focused on dumping Premier League opposition out of the FA Cup this month – rather than plying his trade there.

The young Spaniard is enjoying life back in the Wanderers first team after five successive outings and hopes to make it a happy half dozen with a cup replay win at Sunderland tonight to earn a crack at Everton in the fourth round.

And while there has been talk of a bid for him from the top-flight, with Swansea City boss Michael Laudrup reportedly casting admiring glances his way from South Wales, the 22-year-old only has eyes for cup glory and staying in the Wanderers side.

Alonso said: “I am really pleased as it is the first time I have played four games in a row. Everything is going all right and I am just trying to keep going.

“It has been hard with so many injuries. But football changes quickly and now I am really happy. I am working hard, as I have over the last three years, to stay in the team.

“Every player wants to play every game, especially when you are playing in the FA Cup, and against a Premier League side, and I think we can cause an upset.

Like other big clubs (jokey) it's hard to tell, is my understanding, as staff costs include all sorts of stuff

My gut feeling is ours are in the 15-30k a week range

We have players earning 4 or 5 times what other clubs in this division pay their top earners.

Yet our lot let themselves be outbattled.

It'd make you mad if you thought about it too long.......
