Me too. According to yer man, Beckford's being held up due to Leicester's Asian owners unfamiliarity with transfer protocol. I have absolutely no idea as to what's meant by that.

I suspect Dougie will announce this on BBC, just so you and every other Club in the country know who they are! (I'm also fairly sure we have this conversation every year)

Good call. I don't dislike Wheater, but he has "donkey" writ large and isn't quick on the turn.

Given we can't get anything like a list out of LK, maybe Dan could give us a list and show where on the list he would be - so like

1) Mooy
2) Blakeman
3) Mortiz
4) Afobe
5) Rhodes
6) Messi
There you go, I have seen him play twice btw and a few times on the tele.
 Bugger! Not as good as Mooy and Blakeman then. :(
:D . No sadly not.

To be fair, even if Coyle had signed Tweedledum and Tweedledee, Nicko would say that Wigan have had a good transfer window

I also (perhaps unfairly) fear he has a few penalty giveaways in him..

He's far from the worst centre half we've had in the last few years. I'd have knight and ream ahead of him in the rid stakesm
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

What I saw of him I thought Knight finished the season well. His confidence seemed to be much better and he looked a lot less indecisive.

I once even saw a turn of speed!!

Wheater is on about the same level as Knight. Significant limitations. Zat Knight is a long way from being our worst defender.

I'd agree with this. I think Wheater is a bit tougher, Knight a bit quicker...marginally so.

In a squad with Ream you have to be exceptionally inept to win the worst defender award.

That doesn't alter the fact that he's still worse than David Sutton though, does it?!

A reasonable observation.

I still think Knight is our best CB in the current squad.

I think absence has made the Wheater seem a lot zazzier than he is! he'll do - but let's not imagine we couldn't do better...
