Yer man has just spent the last seventeen (17) days saying Beckford was signing within the next 24 hours. Yesterday he finally made the correct call and we did indeed sign him within the next 24 hours.

Another lucky guess I suppose.

Anyway I've had enough of this charade. I'm off to add the word Nixon to the swear filter....

Him and everybody else including our chairman. Complex deal took a long time to fully sort out.

But you don't need telling who first broke our interest in Beckford two months ago. Nope thought not.

If we can get rid of Andrews for Spearing I would be a happy chappy. Maybe Coyle will want him at the Pie Dome?
He will be on a decent wage at Bolton. Who is mad enough to take Andrews off our hands because he is unlikely to take a (big) drop in salary? I can't imagine they will be queuing round the block.

It would be nice if we did get rid of him though.

I'm not 100%, but I am sure a club in Qatar was linked with him.

Nixon obviously has good contacts at Bolton. I hate the way he'll say something like "touch and go. Can't comment on who it is" after saying we're going to sign someone. It's obvious he doesn't know who it is yet strings fans along to feed his ego. I am thankful he's a reliable source but he's an obnoxious, attention seeking knob.

Attention seeking knob is about right. But his business is selling stories to the Daily mirror and Sunday People. Presumably only chance he has of them paying him is if he hasn't put all the details out on twitter. So he uses that to generate interest and direct it towards the mirror website and paper without giving the exact details. Fairly odd bloke like that spends his day answering the same question a thousand times from football fans but whatever. He clearly knows but isn't going to give names out when he can make a living from it.

I quite like Craig Davies. Am I on my own?
He's certainly too good for wolves. Wonder if Ricketts has had a word?

No, I'd be quite sad to see him go.

Think he's ok but nowt special. From what I've seen I think he's a young SKD ish in his ability to physically unsettle opposition, but I fear he may have the same scoring return, particularly if he's only making sub appearances

still wonder how dougie is going to accomodate all the front players/ keep them happy, notwithstanding his rotation tendencies. I anticipate some shipping out either as loans (eaves, odelusi) or sales

Would rather keep him than Sordell or NGog.

You'd rather have Craig Davies than NGog? Really? NGog is a superior player by a long distance in my book.

Nah. Ngog is our best forward for hold up play/ general skill & ability. Sordell has still the potential (and record) of a being a goalscorer

N'Gog has a good touch, is quick, makes it stick...sometimes. Despite all that, he's a f*cking coward. Pissing off injured if it's not going well, hiding when it's tough.

Does anyone see N'Gog with a winners medal around his neck? No?

I'm not sure about the coward thing, think that's a bit ott.

Ngog with a goalscorer like Beckford? Could be tasty IMO.

If Ngog was up for it every match maybe, but he has a tendency to disappear. At least with Davies the effort is there. I know that I would rather have a player giving 100% every game than one who tries when he can be bothered.
