Am guessing this might be a girlie thing and blokes don't get so excited about haircuts but then you don't usually get a cup of tea and a soothing hairwash/pamper with it. My hair hasn't been cut in months and months and its ridiculously long so well in need. Tomorrows a bit of a tough day for me so will be nice to have something to look forward to. Plus I timed it cleverly so Mr GG will have to sort the twins lunch out. 8)

Enjoy. When I had long hair I used to love having it washed and my head massaged at the same time. By a female hairdresser I might add!

Thankyou, I shall. It's very relaxing! Still can't really imagine you with long hair despite seeing some pics! Short hair suits you.

For reasons of which I'm not quite sure I've stopped clippering my hair off and have grown it back to a length whereby I've started going back to the barbers. So, whilst I was off last week I paid a visit to the barber that'd cut my hair throughout my earlier life but who I hadn't seen in about 15 years. After him getting over his initial surprise of me turning up out of the blue we had a good catch up and a where've you been and who've you seen type natter (before him telling everyone else in the shop about the times that he'd had to administer Saturday morning emergency haircuts to me and my mates after one of us had been foolish enough to fall asleep the night before).
So, I'm in the chair and he's examining my head before saying "You're hair's gone really dark with age hasn't it, Bruce............... and quite a bit thinner on top?!" Just get it cut, man. :(

Well, perhaps a little longer than that, but not as long as it'll take for your hair dresser to pump the seat up to the maximum height setting and to position the child's booster seat for when it's your turn. :P

GG discusses with her hairdresser exactly what she's going to do when she gets hold of that LLS.

On Sunday, I make it thirteen weeks since I had a cigarette (still using an e-cig but nowhere near as much as the wife who's going up for six months without a cig). Really hard but I don't think I'll slip back now. Can't swear for the future mind, but I feel pretty positive right now.
After smoking for around fifty eight years solid it does seem strange. We both admit to getting cravings occasionally, but less as it goes on.

Attaboy! Keep vigilant because the desire never really goes away although the cravings become more and more manageable. The first few weeks are the worst so you are over that hump. You also need to avoid eating too much as an alternative source of oral gratification - no point in avoiding lung disease to collapse of heart disease through overweight! The only real danger is drinking a few in the company of smokers!

Great stuff, Tango! But its when you start to think that you wont slip back that you are most at risk of slipping back! The bastardly cravings never quite leave you alone. 1992 I stopped (23rd April) and even now it can catch me by surprise when out of the corner of my eye I catch someone lighting up. Beware!

Go on the Tango. Good luck, smoking is hard to give up (although I wont claim to have taken up smoking and therefore never have needed to try to give it up) 6 weeks is a big achievement, try to use your wife as inspiration. Are you seeing any health benefits for it or not.
The above post is complete bollox/garbage/nonsense, please point this out to me at any and every occasion possible.

3 months, TANGO! Bloody good effort, mate. As others have said there's always a chance you'll buckle. Be strong; think of what you've already been through and remember that should you give in it's all to do again.

Do not give in now... do not give in now... do not give in now...

Best way? Do not look on it as a loss - it's a massive, massive gain you are getting...

You'll have no cravings whatsoever when you just celebrate being free... Next week is 11 smoke-free years for me... Think there is anything whatsoever I miss???

Oh - chuck the efag away - it's keeping you addicted and you don't need it - you just don't... get rid and be happy...

Exactly - that's just purely habitual. Fiddle with your rosary beads instead. I mean it.

Nah - Tango should free himself from Rosaries as well - might as well get rid of all opiates at one go...

Okay, fiddle with something else like the rest of us.
