(also - if he turned a debacle around last season - and you're now trusting him to do it again - does that mean he has turned us back into a debacle? b ;-) )
Not at all. Perhaps I didn't word it well. If he can do that with a debacle then I've every confidence in him with the current bunch of mainly good players.
aye - was only joking - i know what you mean - and broadly agree.. I just wish he'd found a way to use the pre-season to get us up and running and fit rather than treat the first six games as such...

I think BWFCI will win that one, the minute he asks LK for a list of facts. 8)

Ah, but lists of actual facts are always trumped by the inclusion of FACT - and that's a FACT ;)

Ermm yes. He also said it in the preview for Notts Forest video posted here and I said that scares me. Not sure what your point is? Thought you were going to post an example of someone like Mourinho saying it then I could be less scared....

Apologies chief. I didn't see the whole convo. Just someone quoting your comment. Thought (assumed) it was a criticism of Coyle as he's said it numerous times. This week. Probably.

Nah - BWFCi spoiled everything by noting that Dougie might not be perfect and that not everything is black and white. At which, the internet imploded.

Results will always be more important than performances, of course, but when a team plays well, you have more hope in them than if you play awfully and manage to scrape a win. This was my fear going into this season. So much was made of the fantastic run, results wise, that we went on last season but unfortunately, we rarely played well during that run, so there was always a doubt in my mind as to whether we'd be able to match the results this year if the performances weren't an improvement on last year. The performances haven't improved so far but obviously there's plenty of time left in the season to get the results.

Anyway...

Going out on a limb, I don't think Freedman is a good enough manager to get us promoted. I don't think we'll get in the play-offs with him as manager either. We've got a good squad for this league but I don't think the manager is good enough to get the best out of them. You can't call for him to be sacked at this stage of the season but I don't think he'll fulfill the expectations that he's accepted and us fans and the board demand of him. He's directly responsible for how the team play and that just isn't good enough, nor has it ever been. Too scrappy and nervy defensively and nowhere near enough creativity going forward.

Freedman is hardly inspiring much confidence just now to be honest.
We still seem to be piss poor at locking up the midfield and as bad as ever defensively

as long as they don't go down. i dont think i'm that bothered.

i had to support them extra good during the megson out era to counter the m0ngs. but they eventually got their way and coyle came in and everyone were all 'we'll be ok' while he fecked em up and took em down. so, to me , he's ok.

if he starts clapping and hiring assistant towel holders that have no previous employment history, then he can probably feck off.

but he seems sensible enough to not do that.
