You take a pasty, yeah; and then bung it on a ciabatta. So easy even you could do it.

But not just my first, there's a pretty good chance it's the first one ever.

History in the making.

Tried the crumpet pizza yesterday. Mrs and Miss BP were horrified at the prospect and wanted no part of it. Twas ok. Went with just tomato puree and cheese. Think I may have to mix it up a bit, if there is ever a next time.

Tomato puree would be too bitter. Pasata works much better and needs garlic and oregano.

It wasn't too bad. I'm sure that passata with your additions would have been better, but I wasn't going to open a carton of passata to make a couple of crumpets. Just made it on the spur of the moment after returning from town.

Next time you use passata, put a bit of it in the ice cube tray, then bag once frozen. You can then quickly melt when needed for crumpet pizza 8)

Started with a cocktail (nice pink Cosmopolitan), then white wine from Galicia with the roast chicken...

What did you have with the pasty ciabatta?

I have just finished a week of magnificent eating ... all the doing of the freezer in the garage being accidentally switched off.

A great bone-in 2 rib of beef, what added up to 48 fantastic giant blue-prawns, some scallops and a large loin of pork, amongst other things, were skilfully dealt with in a variety of ways during the week Very glad we caught them before they were gone to ruin.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
"I understand you are a very good footballer" ... "I try".

We went to the Pack Horse in Affetside tonight... Very decent pub food - menu pretty predictable, but the fish n chips (me), goat's cheese souffle (wife), burger with cheese (daughter), and massive steak n ale pie (sister in law) was matched nicely with Hydes Original.

Just made rosemary and sea salt flat bread. Bit too salty, but other then that tasted nice and was surprisingly quick and easy.

Tagine help required. I've just bought one, a white one from Habitat that's made of terracotta. Now then, it says on it that it's oven safe, microwave and dishwasher safe, however, it doesn't say anywhere as to whether or not I can use it directly on the hob (glass covered electric). I can't seem to find anything conclusive one way or t'other on the interweb so am wondering if anyone can advise?
