Re: Today I'm angry about.....
Not so much angry as slightly miffed.
Talking to hotel about invoice they hadn't sent me - they ascertain my check-in, check-out dates and my full name (Worthington, Frank). End of the call "Yes Mr Worthington, what's you're e-mail address?"
Me - "It's [email protected]"
Them "Is that "F" for Freddie or "S" for sugar?"
Me "Grrrrrrr you've been calling me Frank for the last 5 minutes, of course it's fecking "F" for Freddie"

Re: Today I'm angry about.....
What is it about a nice day that makes women come out with gibberish like:
Big sigh...."Ah, well, this is doing nothing....."
" Never put off till tomorrow what you can do today"
" The devil finds work for idle hands.." etc,etc,etc.....as if it's April, not October.
Everybody knows damn well it's "Never do today what you can put off till tomorrow" anyway. Just how much can grass grow in three days? Every body also knows Sunday morning is for reading the paper with a bacon sarnie and a mug of tea. Six days shalt thou..whatever etc, and on the seventh thou shalt rest.
Women.

What were they expecting? full board and a couple of nights in a five * hotel until some 'human rights lawyer leech' got them a first class ticket home and a wedge of compo?

Metal Tea-Pots in hotels.
Failing to perform their single purpose adequately for over 50 years.
How the hell have they survived ... who manages to sell them, who buys them ?? (he asks with a tea-stain on his shirt). Maybe LK can enlighten us.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

They're not just in hotels though - they're fecking ubiquitous, and every single bastard one of them comes with its own field of gravity, the ill-fitting lidded bastard things.bobo the clown wrote:Metal Tea-Pots in hotels.

I have had many a run-in with one of those bastards. No matter how quick you pour the tea it always runs down the side of the teapot and all over the table. I can only get around half of it in my cup.Bruce Rioja wrote:They're not just in hotels though - they're fecking ubiquitous, and every single bastard one of them comes with its own field of gravity, the ill-fitting lidded bastard things.bobo the clown wrote:Metal Tea-Pots in hotels.

Is this why stupid bastard coffee shops decided to serve hot beverages in bowls? I mean, what's wrong with a proper cup or mug?malcd1 wrote:I have had many a run-in with one of those bastards. I really would like to meet the person who came up with the wonderful idea that it is illegal to play in the street.

sounds reasonable enough to me!Officers sent fliers to residents in Southville Road, Thames Ditton, saying it was against the law for their youngsters to use footballs or skateboards on the road.
