Fair point, though our club seems to have trusted a Boro sales pitch or two recently. Anyone would think they're some kind of Lourdes fountain of football youth talent the way we sniff around their players.

FFP is laid out. And fines and transfer bans can be imposed next season. Whether they will be or not is anyone's guess.

But I guess either Gartside and Davies are using it as an excuse to cut costs and save money or they genuinely think you're in trouble if you don't comply. Either way I did fear we could end up here if we ever went down. The precedents are there. Let's hope we can do a Southampton rather than a Coventry.....
