The funniest bit for me about the 19th Century football quote is Chelsea didn't exist - so what the fook would they know?
At least West Ham were around at the time...

If it was the 19th Century, it would have finished 5 all

Aye - there were loads of goals then.
Shows how shit KD was - he never scored in the 19th century.

You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Just seen the Carroll red that big Sam's up in arms about. I think he did it on purpose, no need to keep the arm swinging all that way. Meant to catch him. Cue lots of outrage from Sam when appeal is chucked out.

Oh, aye, I don't doubt he did it on purpose but his arm hit the hairline rather than the nose that Flores immediately threw his hands up to. Nearly knocked his pony tail off but not his nose!LeverEnd wrote:Just seen the Carroll red that big Sam's up in arms about. Seriously?!
I thought it was an absolutely shocking call!

I did too, and I said straight away 'that's an appeal', but I thought he swung his arm hoping to connect somewhere.Prufrock wrote:Seriously?!

I read all the quotes expecting it to be a wrong decision but having watched it several times I think he did it on purpose. How can you think it's a shocking call but that he did it on purpose Clapton.clapton is god wrote:I did too, and I said straight away 'that's an appeal', but I thought he swung his arm hoping to connect somewhere.Prufrock wrote:Seriously?!

It's one of those where you have to decide if you believe there is intent Pru, and think there was, can also see why others would say not. First glance it looked like nothing so I'm surprised it was given.

The guy should get a red for play acting. Sick to fecking death of these cheating girls. He is trying to trick the ref just like players who dive for a penalty.

Oh yes, obviously a cheat, no disagreement there.ChrisC wrote:The guy should get a red for play acting. Sick to fecking death of these cheating girls. He is trying to trick the ref just like players who dive for a penalty.

I get that, I just can't see how you think he meant it

I think the arm comes round further than it needs to that's all, 3 matches would be ahrsh though. Floes has tweeted a gif proving his innocence of acting, entitled 'For those who say that me has failed'!Prufrock wrote:LeverEnd wrote:I read all the quotes expecting it to be a wrong decision but having watched it several times I think he did it on purpose. I get that, I just can't see how you think he meant it! Flores has hold of him round the neck, Carroll's fairly understandable reaction is to try to get him off, he has a shove at him as they untangle and then accidentally catches him as he spins. I don't think he's got the co-ordination to do that on purpose! Flores can feck off to. Loved seeing that video of Sam at the Liberty!

I liked Sam's little dig about '21st century defending'. Considering Swandea's masterstroke was chucking Ngog on for the last 15, I'm not surprised it worked.

That's the first I've seen of it. Definite red card. Deliberate elbowing always should be.

Well, the panel agreed that there was "no obvious error by the referee" and so the card stands.
Rightly in my view ... though Flores should be pilloried for his over-reaction whether or not.
Now Spam are investigating legal action against the PL and against Swansea directly. Blimey, that would be the start some precedents if it happened.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

They're shitting themselves over the spectre of relegation and having to play Championship football in the Olympic Stadium in front of 20,000 fans.
The wheels could just be coming off - massively.
Let's hope so.

I don't think it was a red by the way. But it is past now.
The above post is complete bollox/garbage/nonsense, please point this out to me at any and every occasion possible.

Or maybe not, they are seeking legal action. That opens a right can of worms. If they lose they should be relegated as punishment.bwfcdan94 wrote:I don't think it was a red by the way. But it is past now.

Football really needs it's arse kicking and knocking off its perch of self importance.
