Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Go and see the Art Gallery and Museum on Le Mans Crescent. Lots of local history. You can't miss it if you keep aiming for the clock on top of the Town Hall.
You could then go and have tea in the Octagon Theatre café and soak up some of the atmosphere our forum literati and culturati are always banging on about.

Town Hall square, bottom of the steps looking upward, Friday, about 10.30pm or so. To view the weekly forfeits from between the Lions.

We'd actually amassed quite an impressive collection of various town's town hall steps at one point. No idea what thread they were in though.thebish wrote:it is a while since a forum member was moved to vow to show their arse on the town hall steps if.....

Just checked the 'Tangerine sherbet' thread. (For those who don't remember, that was last year's equivalent to this one). That made it to 4 pages pre-match.
Not sure whether the fact that this one's made it to 8 pages pre-match indicates that most people were more interested in talking about the football last year, or whether 12 months on, more people have been driven to drink.
Either way, I can't make it tomorrow unfortunately. Have one for me.

Hope is what keeps us going.

So pies and chips then!
If I get down to the pub, I'll be the guy with the beard in the Holden shirt/navy jacket who looks like he's from out of town. If you see me at the game, say hi! If it wasn't me, laugh it off awkwardly.

If I see you I shall approach you in the manner of Skippy, making clicking noises whilst rubbing my face with my wrists.
