Regrettably FreeView Ch.229 says it's a data channel. I guess it needs something uploading.mummywhycantieatcrayons wrote:They say 'Freeview 229' if that helps?
Apologies about the picture!
I guess it'll find its way to YouTube.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

It needs to be connected to the internet or updated.... or something else I'm not sure about.

I have a 42" television. Will the show fit onto it?

If he's talking about the Venus De Milo you'll be fine.

Of course not. The joke was he wouldn't see the whole screen so it wouldn't matter if he was talking about the armless miss de milo.Montreal Wanderer wrote:Matisse sculpted the Venus de Milo? Good heavens!Gary the Enfield wrote:Bruce Rioja wrote:I have a 42" television. Will the show fit onto it?

Did anyone catch it? I'll have an online link in about a week, I suppose. Otherwise it's going to be reshown at different times in the schedule several times over the next fortnight, so if you search for 'Matisse' on Sky you will be able to record.
I'm quite proud of it - a definite improvement on the Pop Art show.

This looks magnificent - the recreation of the Fighting Temeraire and the sunset is epic.
I presume the plummy guy waxing lyrical about Turner's works to him is Ruskin. In which case, I hope the film shows Turner saying of Ruskin: 'He sees more in my pictures than I ever painted.' It's a line all theorising art historians should remember...

Looking forward to that one with gusto. Timothy Spall is actually one hell of a good actor, but I'd see it whoever played Turner.mummywhycantieatcrayons wrote:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X5STEoqVwRg#t=51

I'm saying we should bear it in mind as an encouragement to humility, not stop theorising altogether!
I might have a YouTube link of my Snail theorising this PM.

Still lots of things to be smoothed out, but I was reassured to read this morning that Lord Clark had made over 50 documentaries before he came to film his Civilisation series!

You seem much more confident and comfortable this time. The ramrod up your rear has become flexible. However, I must protest the accuracy of some of what you say. For example you tell us Icarus fell to earth when the wings he made melted through flying too close to the sun. But he didn't make the wings - his father Daedalus did.

For those who enjoy mummy's presentation but can't make it to London, this is on at cine world, Bolton and all over the country on June 3.

You'll have a blast at the exhibition, Will. Really enjoyed it. Some of the things on display were breathtaking.

Well, PB noted Icarus was mythological - I just insisted on mythological accuracy! I hadn't realized the Snail was so large until I saw it against PB's stature.Bruce Rioja wrote:But you're happy to believe that he flew too close to the sun though?
