When he's sitting down, maybe.Armchair Wanderer wrote: Talking about Keith Andrews in the BN, this made me smile...Is Andrews really slower than Trotter?Wanderers had moved on in Andrews’ absence. Freedman wanted pace in his midfield and was looking towards Spearing, Medo, Vela and Liam Trotter.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Hmmmm. Stooping to personal insults doesnt strengthen your case, it just makes you look a tit. A point you might wish to consider before ramping up your ambulance chasing at the bar. TouchePrufrock wrote:He's a defender who can't defend! Being good on the ball (if we're ignoring Boris' favourite square ball to no-one) is an added bonus for a centre-half. He was certainly much better last year than the year before and I think that along with, as you say, the distinct lack of competition, deadline day loanee aside, meant he did well at the awards. Nevertheless, and despite having some v good games, he still had some horror shows too. He's still weak, still indecisive, and still gets himself wrong-side. His performance at Reading (where no-one covered themself in glory) was particularly laughable.
It's fashionable to knock Ream, because he's a defender who can't defend. It was fashionable to bash Boggers because he was a 'promising' keeper who'd shown no evidence of promise, other than limiting himself to gifting the opposition one golden chance per game by patting things out in front of him. He was excellent when he came back in last year, and I think pretty much everyone has recognised that.
Hey ho, opinions and arseholes... (I've got my opinion and you're an arsehole)

Does it still count as an insult if it's got a smiley after it? If it does, well smileys truly can sod off! No offence meant dude, I just couldn't resist the joke!

Isn't that almost identical to Juke's time here?thebish wrote:he scored 7 in 22 games this calendar year...Bruce Rioja wrote:There's dangerous talk of Leroy Lita.
''Amazing! Out of nothing Bolton are level. A quick throw, Kevin Nolan keeps play alive in the box and finds Kevin Davies on the left who lashes a shot under Oliver Kahn.''

I reckon Dean Windass could do a job for us.

Don't think this warrants its own thread, so I'm putting it here -

We tend to think we're hard done by without a decent striker. As someone who lives on the Fylde coast, trust me, we're in fine fettle compared to Blackpool who currently have only 7 professionals on the books and both Chairman and manager refusing to sign players in a Championship Mexican stand off. You couldn't make it up. Shame they're not first up for us!

Re: Abdoulaye's going t'Souk transfer thread
You would sort of like us to have better aspirations than a Club with 7 professionals on the books. I don't use the lowest common denominator as a measure of well being. That's how Tim Ream gets voted "Player of the Season" - people re-set the bar at really shit and because he was better than that got all confused...Bijou Bob wrote:We tend to think we're hard done by without a decent striker.
