That sounds promising, but as a counter point he's the wrong side of 30 when most players start to decline both in physical and technical ability. 3 is too much for me, I'd say 2 with option for 1 further year depending on appearances. But it's moot - all down to Taylor, his agents, and us (whether NL or PG).
