We still have a good few he's wecome to. Can't we start a rumour about a new contract for Trotter?

Nixon seems to be saying we are negotiating with RyanTaylor. We offered 2 years, he wants 3. Forest approached, but he is in Bolton.

Thinks he's George Best and hasn't a fecking clue as to when to play the easy ball. A lad at work played with him at Chester. Apparently he's absolutely full of himself. I share your dislike.LeverEnd wrote:I've seen wilkinson 4 or 5 times and tried to look for the positives but thought he was just shite really. And he gave an interview in which he came across as a complete dick. I'm all for supporting young players normally but I really have taken a dislike to the guy. Sooner rid the better for me.

Considering his injury record, offering 2 years is pretty fair by me, so asking for 3 is a bit cheeky...freeindeed wrote:Nixon seems to be saying we are negotiating with RyanTaylor. We offered 2 years, he wants 3. Forest approached, but he is in Bolton.

My gaffer's a NUFC STH. He was telling me that whenever Taylor's been injured he's returned as exactly the same player he was pre-injury. I reckon that he's more unlucky than he is injury prone. I'd be delighted if we gave him three years.danardif1 wrote:Considering his injury record, offering 2 years is pretty fair by me, so asking for 3 is a bit cheeky...freeindeed wrote:Nixon seems to be saying we are negotiating with RyanTaylor. Hadn't realised that - I should've checked, really. Yeah, in that case 2+1 looks to be the best deal all round.throwawayboltonian wrote: That sounds promising, but as a counter point he's the wrong side of 30 when most players start to decline both in physical and technical ability. 3 is too much for me, I'd say 2 with option for 1 further year depending on appearances. But it's moot - all down to Taylor, his agents, and us (whether NL or PG).

Yes, but he was out for over two years with his second to last injury, and reinjured the same knee last year (out another four months).Bruce Rioja wrote:My gaffer's a NUFC STH. We need somone to keep Mavies company. I'd rather it be a thirty-something, than Clough or Clayton. Someone asked my yesterday why any team would offer van Persie a four year deal -my comment was so they could get a full season's worth of games for their money..l

Ricky was about 22 not 31. I'll raise you Stuart Holden.Bruce Rioja wrote:Two words. The last injury that he suffered whilst playing for us was in 2011. I know - I was there. He was 33 at the time.Montreal Wanderer wrote:

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Right - I thought you were talking about recovery from the cruciate thing which Ricky did at 21. I'm not so sure about Taylor. After that last injury I don't think Ricky ever played for us again (though I could be wrong).Bruce Rioja wrote:The last injury that he suffered whilst playing for us was in 2011.
