Reasons to be cheerful. At home to Cambridge Sat 18th Jan 3'clock.

Where fellow sufferers gather to share the pain, longing and unrequited transfer requests that make being a Wanderer what it is...

I think a lot of opposition fans are just bemused at how he isn’t ’getting sacked in the morning’ now. Any other club and we wouldn’t have to put up with him, he’d of been long gone not ruining another opportunity to rebalance the squad. Randall for a million quid

Doesn't need burning down. Needs to be simpler. Back four. More tempo. Still want to be on the ball, still want to be aggressive off it. But recognise that for Shrewsbury away you're not going to be able to walk it out of your own box for 90 minutes.
Keith hill made a good point on the radio. We don’t press. At all. And I listened to the Brum manager yesterday talk about style and how when he went there he knew the primary thing was that the team had to work. Or the fans would not accept it. He said he believes their style is ‘pressing’ not passing.

We aren’t aggressive. We aren’t imposing ourselves. Also as Hill says ‘possession isn’t control necessarily’. Teams have worked out that you can let us have possession in the right areas and they control the game.
Doesn't help that we've just sold one of our best pressers we had, certainly in the forward spots.

Very much seems like we've only got one player pressing at a time.

It’s fine cos Randall’s all over that pressing shit

Randall is genuinely the tiara on the shire horse Megson promised us all those years ago. And now we’ve got someone worse than megson spunking the budget.

How are you going to press with only two up top, without emptying out midfield.

We were good (without being good enough) running Dion and Vic into the ground. But we're trying to do something we're not set up to do.

Ditto on the ball, how do you stop people stepping onto you when you can't get out. At least he's recognised that and we're looking for someone, big quick and strong. They're easy to find.

Agree but his point is then you can’t play such a high back line without a press.

Shite today. None of that back three were right. Santos apparently playing injured, the other two clearly not recovered fully from their own issues. Much better with a single fully fit defender in the second half, but still clearly not enough to only limp to a draw.

He's still here, so he needs some defenders. If he goes, the new bloke needs some defenders.

Looked like we ended up a 442 diamond art the end there. He's done that a couple of times (not many like) when chasing.

I'd even take that now. Especially if we can get Szabi and Desmond out regularly.

It’s way beyond he needs this or that. Way way beyond it. The whole thing has completely fallen apart and there is no repair. You know it too. Probably you won’t admit it but I know you know.

Today was Megson against hull, only a far far worse performance.

Nobody is pressing. Nobody is running. Whether they are or aren’t trying to get him the sack there are as Hill said basics not being done and that’s been the case all season. You shouldn’t tolerate it as a manager but I suspect he knows that if he tries to address it he’s finished.

If we'd had more options on the bench he may have kept Desmond tight against Barton, because he had him on toast - but we got the goal in the end so I suppose he'll claim he got the change right.

What's clear is Randall has got to be further forward, where he made things happen. Tutu, if we can keep him fit, is a weapon that can hurt teams. Macca makes runs that get you goals.

All cold comfort given the state of things.

Genuinely no idea what you're on about with that, given I've said a while ago I'd have sacked him.

I'll say it again if you like. I would sack Ian Evatt :conf:

Not sure how you mean it.

The current approach is shite. It doesn't offer a coherent plan to win a game of football. So no, not what we do now.

If you mean get a coach in who wants to play a really aggressive high press and then possession football, sure - that's fine. That's not us now, but it was us at our best under Evatt.

I'm not going to pretend everything Evatt ever did was awful, because it wasn't.

Going off that form, we're picking up a result every other game. We're due a defeat.
If we get a draw tomorrow and a win on Tuesday it'll perfectly mirror itself over 10 games,
Destiny wants us to beat Charlton. 3 points basically in the bag.

Yeah we might win that, as we didn't today. Because this "promotion-chasing" side hasn't won consecutive league games since October.

6'7" powerhouse Leaburn against three centre backs who are 6' or under.

We're bound to keep a clean sheet.

Only a matter of how many we score.

The very very worst thing that could happen now is to give Evatt more money to waste.

The best and only viable option is to sack him today.

The next best is if Sharon really wants to waste this season and have zero buy in from fans keep Evatt till the end but not allow him to do any more damage.

The final and disastrous option is to let him spend more money or make more decisions on players in/out saddling the next manager with the mess.

You keep banging on about letting the totally useless deluded arrogant idiot buying more players. The whole project has collapsed in a heap and we’ve just wasted a million on a player we didn’t need who hasn’t fixed any issues. The very very worst outcome is to let him do more damage.

Don't forget yesterday was Ian Evatt's DNA.

The toxicity is now at Megson levels, what we now need is a chairman / board who will make decisions for the benefit of the club and supporters, not for the benefit of Ian Evatt only....instead of a chairman who put's her relationship with the manager ahead of her relationship with the club's supporters.

There is now a vacancy at Barrow, which is the level of Ian Evatt's management I'm sure that they would welcome him back with open arms, and many thousands of BWFC fans would drive him there.
